'Geumtaneun Geumyoil' Taejin-ah opens up about his affectionate feelings for Song Daekwan.
The episode of TV CHOSUN 'Geumtaneun Geumyoil' airing on the 6th is presented as a special to mark the first anniversary of the late Song Daekwan, featuring his "eternal companion" Taejin-ah. The music, friendship and life stories of the two legends who led the trot world for more than half a century will be highlighted again.
That day Taejin-ah reveals his deep longing for Song Daekwan. Recalling the numerous stages they shared, he says, "He was the partner I loved most among seniors and juniors," moving those on site. He then makes the unexpected confession, "Actually, I never considered senior Song Daekwan a rival." What was the sincerity hidden in those words?
In that broadcast, Taejin-ah and Song Daekwan's life songs are newly revived through performances by younger singers. Mi O-yujin delivers Taejin-ah's "Samo-gok" with such deep emotion and solid vocal power that it makes one forget her age, leaving a heavy aftertaste, and Nam Seung-min performs Song Daekwan's "One train ticket" at a high level, raising the audience's excitement.
Choi Jae-myung selects Song Daekwan's signature song, also known as a funeral dirge, "Sunrise Day," conveying his respect for the legend through song. Attention is focused on how other songs that accompanied the lives of Taejin-ah and Song Daekwan will be revived and on the stages the 10 younger singers will present.
