The group MONSTA X conveys a deeper sensibility.
Recently, MONSTA X (Shinwon·Minhyuk·Kihyun·Hyungwon·Jooheon·IM) surprised fans by unexpectedly revealing a teaser video at the end of the Seoul performance of the 2026 MONSTA X World Tour 'The X : NEXUS' and gave a surprise preview of the U.S. digital single 'growing pains(그로잉 페인스)', which will be released on the 6th.
The video drew attention by showing members diving into the sea and enjoying freedom accompanied by the refreshing sound of waves. Through small daily moments—taking photos together and writing the name of Monbebe (official fan club name) on the sand—the members conveyed their unique sensibility, and their clear, refreshing voices amplified the new song's atmosphere, raising expectations. At the end of the video, the song title 'growing pains' and the release date were displayed, stirring fans' excitement.
'growing pains' is a song that frankly reveals the loneliness and wandering felt during the time spent chasing dreams and contains the will to move forward. It is expected to become a "MONSTA X-style healing song" in which the members' warm vocals unfold over an emotional pop-based lyrical melody.
Earlier, MONSTA X expanded their musical spectrum last November with the U.S. digital single 'baby blue(베이비 블루)', drawing an emotional line that mixed the loneliness of remembering past love with warmth. The song received attention from the U.S. business magazine Forbes and the U.K. music magazine NME, proving MONSTA X's global influence and presence.
Also, from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, the three-day 'The X : NEXUS' at Seoul KSPO Dome (formerly Gymnastics Stadium) not only condensed their journey into a "fundamental" stage but also showcased an expanded musical spectrum and complete-group synergy, drawing a strong response. Marking a new chapter with this performance, MONSTA X will unfold a deeper and more varied musical world through the new song 'growing pains'.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary last year, MONSTA X filled the year with dazzling activities and reaffirmed their presence. With the 10th anniversary album THE X, they appeared on numerous global charts including the Billboard 200, and with 'baby blue' they presented a more mature emotional sound.
Their global activities continued. In December 2025, MONSTA X attended the U.S. year-end festival 2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, starting at Madison Square Garden in New York and touring four cities, eliciting enthusiastic responses from local fans. Rolling Stone and Billboard in the U.S. spotlighted their performances, once again proving MONSTA X's solid global influence.
Thus, following their dazzling activities last year and successfully opening their world tour, attention is focused on the message MONSTA X will deliver with 'growing pains'.
MONSTA X's new song 'growing pains' will be released at midnight in each country on various online music sites on the 6th.
