Group 4Minute member Heo Ga-yoon shed tears as she mentioned her brother who passed away before her.
A preview for next week was shown at the end of the episode of the cable channel tvN variety show You Quiz on the Block, which aired the afternoon of the 4th.
The released preview featured Heo Ga-yoon, formerly of 4Minute, who is living a new life in Bali. She was introduced as "having found simple happiness in Bali," and she said, "I've been here three years."
In an interview with Yu Jae-seok, Heo Ga-yoon spoke frankly about everything from school violence to her brother who passed away. She said, "There were times I was caught up in something like school violence, and I think I chose to just take it," which shocked people, and she also confessed her pain, saying, "I couldn't tell anyone that I have bulimia, and my stomach hurts so much I stop."
In particular, Heo Ga-yoon drew attention by mentioning the brother she lost. Heo Ga-yoon said, "My brother suddenly passed away. My parents said, 'If you weren't here, we would want to follow you.'" Heo Ga-yoon showed tears as she talked about her brother.
Heo Ga-yoon previously lost her brother in December 2020. It was reported that Heo Ga-yoon's older brother had a chronic illness, and his condition worsened, causing him to pass away at a young age, which drew sympathy.
Heo Ga-yoon also spoke about her brother last month on the 'Sebasi lecture' stage, saying, "One day, in the early dawn, my mother called and said my brother had suddenly passed away. My brother worked at a clothing company. He really had a lot of work and was busy. When we sometimes had family dinners on special days, there were many days he couldn't come, and many days he would just eat and leave right away. When I went to my parents' house on my days off, most of the time he wasn't home, I think."
