'The Iron SquadW' cast member Kwak Seon-hee, who became known through the show, released New York wedding photos with her same-sex spouse.
Kwak Seon-hee posted several photos to her social media on the 3rd with the caption "Can't help but fall for you(당신에게 빠질 수밖에 없다)."
The released photos captured moments from the two walking side by side on a street in New York, scenes of them smiling in matching white shirts, to natural displays of affection in relaxed sportswear. The everyday couple atmosphere, different from the previously released wedding dress and tuxedo shots, drew attention.
The concept of the photo shoot was also distinctive. She naturally incorporated her identity as a "marathoner," pairing workout clothes with a veil and even posing wearing a marathon finisher's medal. Rather than a typical wedding shoot, the production added meaning by portraying the couple's own narrative.
Kwak Seon-hee is a former reserve lieutenant of the 53rd Infantry Division and left a strong impression when she appeared as part of the army team on last year's concluded 'The Iron SquadW.' After discharge, she has steadily shared updates while expanding her activities as a model and marathoner.
Earlier, she came out by revealing her same-sex partner through social media and YouTube last year. She said, "We first met at a bakery, and her smiling face was so beautiful," and her partner also expressed affection, saying, "I'm proud and honored to be the woman Seon-hee chose."
She also drew a line by saying, "I only appeared on the program as a soldier; I did not go on it to meet women."
The two are currently registered as cohabitants because legal marriage registration is difficult in Korea, and it is reported they exchanged vows in New York in November last year.<
