Group SHINee member and solo artist Taemin is continuing activities toward the global stage.
Taemin appeared on the popular U.S. radio program iHeart KPOP with JoJo on 102.7 KIIS FM on the 2nd (local time). That day Taemin met veteran DJ JoJo Wright and held a colorful conversation that captured the attention of local fans.
Expressing excitement at his first U.S. radio appearance in a long time, Taemin said "I want to gain diverse experiences in LA, where many people make music," and added "I hope that if I have more activities in the U.S. someday, I can have a place to stay locally," expressing anticipation for future activities in the U.S..
He also expressed special resolve for the world's biggest music festival, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (hereafter "Coachella"), which will be held in April. Taemin said "Beyond simple anticipation, I have a strong sense of purpose to really show well," and "Since this is an opportunity that doesn't come easily, I want to spare nothing in showing the career I have built so far and my aspects as an artist," raising expectations for his Coachella performance.
In addition, Taemin revealed that he carefully manages his condition routine and personally pays close attention to everything from tour planning stages to differences in venue sound, showing a professional side. He also hinted, "I am working on new projects while collaborating with good people in the U.S.," increasing curiosity about his future musical path.
Finally, Taemin delivered a heartfelt message to fans, saying, "I am grateful to those who love my music and my path. I want to repay the love I have received so far, and having recently taken on new challenges and grown a step, I hope fans also gain good inspiration through me."
With unstoppable global momentum—such as appearances on popular U.S. radio and broadcasts and sold-out shows in Las Vegas—Taemin is scheduled to take the Coachella stage, the world's largest music festival, this April, where he is expected to cap his global activities.
