The father-in-law of Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of soccer star David Beckham, praised his son-in-law as "wonderful" and spoke for the first time about the family conflict.
On the 3rd (local time), Page Six reported that billionaire Nelson Peltz, the father of Nicola Peltz, broke his silence on son-in-law Brooklyn Beckham's public family dispute.
According to the report, the billionaire investor Nelson attended an event in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday and when asked about his daughter Nicola, he jokingly said, "Has our family been in the media lately? I didn't notice at all."
Nelson also said he had given his family advice on how to navigate certain situations, noting, "My advice is to stay completely away from the media."
He added, "The matter of my daughter and the Beckham family is a completely different issue and not something to be discussed here today. But let me say this: my daughter is wonderful and my son-in-law Brooklyn is wonderful, and I hope the two have a long and happy marriage."
The Beckham family's rift escalated last month when Brooklyn shared a strongly worded statement on social media attacking his father David and his mother Victoria. Brooklyn said he has no intention of reconciling with his family and accused his parents of trying to ruin his marriage to Nicola.
Afterward, Brooklyn's siblings appeared united in support of their parents, and recently they attended together the ceremony where Victoria received a prestigious honor from the French government during Paris Fashion Week.
