Actor Park Shin-yang shared an update ahead of a new solo exhibition.
On the 4th, the YouTube channel 'Sung Si Kyung' posted a video titled 'I'll meet Sung Si Kyung l It was Park Shin-yang's first meeting, and the conversation we had stayed with me for a long time.'
That day Park Shin-yang recalled his first solo exhibition and said, "Two years ago I hung more than 150 paintings and held my first exhibition. I wondered how I could extend the methods I had used in acting, performance and theater into this medium and bring the principles over, so I worked directly from there. I wanted people to be able to see it like a play."
And he is scheduled to hold his second solo exhibition this coming March. He said, "This time I will expand that method a bit more to see how to realize the 'fourth wall' at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. What we'll do is turn the entire Sejong Center for the Performing Arts into my studio and have audiences sneak in to see various things in a hybrid play-and-exhibition format," raising expectations.
Then Sung Si Kyung asked, "About how many works will be hung?" Park Shin-yang replied, "I'm trying to hang around 150 pieces, but I'll hang as many as possible, and since a play will be combined, I think actors will appear as well."
Sung Si Kyung asked, "Is everything decided? Or are you still making changes?" and Park Shin-yang answered, "I'm still working hard on it."
Meanwhile, Park Shin-yang, who held his first solo exhibition in 2023, plans to hold 'Park Shin-yang's exhibition show - the fourth wall' at the Sejong Museum of Art in the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts from March 6 to May 10.
