Singer Kim Dahyun has initiated civil and criminal legal procedures in relation to not receiving appearance fees and related settlement payments.
On the 4th, Kim Dahyun's side said, "Despite repeatedly requesting settlements from the former agency since November last year, the former agency did not make settlement payments for Kim Dahyun's appearance fees and other revenue from events starting from the September–October 2025 period, and further negotiation is unlikely," adding, "We had no choice but to proceed with legal action to protect the mental stability and rights of a young teenage artist."
Accordingly, Kim Dahyun's side filed an application for a payment order and initiated seizure procedures at the Seoul Central District Court at the end of last month, and earlier this month submitted a criminal complaint to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station accusing the agency's representatives of fraud and embezzlement.
Legal representative Law Firm Inir stated, "This measure is not intended to defame any particular person or escalate conflict, but was an unavoidable choice to protect rightful compensation and rights."
Meanwhile, after terminating her contract due to breach of contract and a breakdown of trust with the former agency, Kim Dahyun moved to Hyun Company Co., Ltd. at the end of November last year and has continued her activities as a singer.<
