SBS's new Fri-Sat drama "Shin I-rang Law Office" has confirmed its first broadcast on Mar. 13 (Fri) and has released a teaser poster that condenses the show's world and features Yoo Yeon-seok defending unseen truths.
An anticipated work expected to continue SBS's lineage of refreshing courtroom dramas, the new Fri-Sat drama "Shin I-rang Law Office" (directed by Shin Jung-hoon, written by Kim Ga-young·Kang Cheol-gyu, produced by StudioS·Mongjakso) is a strange yet warm revenge adventure about "the possessed lawyer" Shin I-rang, who satisfyingly resolves the grievances of the dead, and Han Na-hyun, a "cold-blooded elite lawyer" who has staked everything on winning.
The teaser poster released today (the 4th) features the copy "We defend unseen truths" and shows the scene of Room 501 in Okcheon Building, where all cases begin. On the wall painted with the 12 zodiac signs are talismans plastered everywhere, and there is a code of law that does not fit with the space's objects such as the incense burner emitting a faint plume of smoke. This hints that this place is not simply a location where only law and logic are exchanged. As it should be, this is the office that ordinary lawyer Shin I-rang (Yoo Yeon-seok) unexpectedly acquired, and the starting point where he, after beginning to see ghosts, becomes unintentionally embroiled in strange cases.
This law office was once used as a shaman's house. Shin I-rang, who settled here, is an ordinary lawyer who simply wants to succeed and harbors the ambition, "I will build the best law firm on my three-name reputation." However, after opening the law office here without knowing anything, he began to see ghosts, and his daily life flowed in an unexpected direction. In this space, where stories tied to invisible beings remain, Shin I-rang confronts cases that cannot be explained by law and common sense alone, and in the process, he looks into another face of the truth one by one and is reborn as the possessed lawyer who defends unseen truths. As Yoo Yeon-seok, who has established himself as a "reliable actor" with a filmography that crosses genres, promises a new kind of performance in this work, anticipation for the upcoming first broadcast is rising.
