Singer Sungmin captivated listeners' hearts with a more mature outlook on life.
Sungmin appeared on MBC radio Son Tae Jin's Trot Radio, which aired the afternoon of the 4th, and spoke candidly about life as a father and his new musical world.
Currently a father of a 16-month-old child, he made a realistic confession that "I'm really happy but tired" along with "I can't forget the moment the child first held my finger. These days, I'm happiest when I come home from work and see the child greet me with a beaming smile," revealing his "son-obsessed" side.
About the new release UNLIMIT, which was released on the 2nd, Sungmin introduced it by saying, "I named it myself to express the confidence that I can do anything, breaking away from the past when I limited myself musically or in image."
Sungmin then passionately sang the title track "Gat-saeng," delivering energy to listeners with his powerful voice and his characteristic positive vibe full of passion. He explained, "It's a song that offers comfort to those who doubt themselves by saying 'evidence that you're already living well' and supports all those who work quietly."
He especially said, "When I see SNS, it mainly shows people boasting about happy lives, and if I see it often I end up comparing myself and feeling like I'm the only one falling behind and living without leisure. There's only a difference in each person's timing; everyone has a time when happiness comes after unhappiness," which drew admiration from DJ Son Tae Jin.
About the double title "Under the starlight," he said, "Personally, I thought of time spent with fans. Even if it's not outdoors, I imagine the time together at concerts or fan meetings watching lights or phone flashes while dancing and singing together."
Finally, after passionately singing Youngtak's "Hallyangga," Sungmin said, "The life of a hallyang, who recharges after working hard, is also part of 'Gat-saeng,'" and sent warm encouragement to all listeners who enjoy the present and live hard in their own ways.
