Actor Ha Jung-woo has been swept up in 'July wedding rumors,' and his father, actor Kim Yong-gun, came forward to clarify.
On the 4th, Kim Yong-gun, speaking by phone with OSEN when asked about his son Ha Jung-woo's 'July wedding rumors,' replied, "Not yet. He is not getting married."
Earlier that day, one media outlet reported that Ha Jung-woo was preparing to get married in July, aiming to wed his non-celebrity partner with whom he is dating. They said he visited some wedding halls in downtown Seoul to make inquiries.
In particular, the outlet that first reported the story quoted the words of Ha Jung-woo's father, actor Kim Yong-gun, conveying his thanks for the congratulations, which drew even more attention.
However, Kim Yong-gun corrected the record, saying, "When I first received contact about the article, I said, 'This is something I don't know about either. If it's something to congratulate, I'm grateful,' but the article came out as if I had confirmed Ha Jung-woo's wedding," and added with a laugh, "If there is news of my son's wedding, I will let you know again."
His agency Walkhouse Company also issued an official statement to OSEN regarding Ha Jung-woo's wedding rumors, saying, "It is true that he is dating, but nothing about marriage has been confirmed. Whether it will be in the summer is also undecided."
Born in 1978, Ha Jung-woo debuted in 2002 and received much love through films such as Chugyeokja (The Chaser), Hanghae (The Coast Guard), Berlin, Assassination, Tunnel, and the Along with the Gods series. Since 2013, he has also participated in directing and producing, releasing films such as Rollercoaster, Heo Sam-gwan, Single Rider, PMC: The Bunker, Ashfall, Closet, Rebound, Lobby, and The Upstairs Neighbors.
