Singer Brian caused laughter when the identity of the woman he introduced as "my wife" during a trip to Gangneung was revealed.
On the 3rd, the YouTube channel "The Brian" uploaded a video titled "Do Gangneung residents only go here?? Real local Gangneung eateries Seoul people don't know." The video showed Brian going on a tour of local Gangneung eateries after receiving recommendations from an acquaintance.
That day Brian said he came to Gangneung because "a close younger brother who lives in the same Pyeongtaek neighborhood asked, 'Hyung, why haven't you been to Gangneung?'" Arriving early in the morning to find a restaurant known for pollack hangover soup, he was surprised when he saw a Suwon taxi parked in front of the restaurant and said, "You came from Suwon to eat this?"
While waiting for the meal, when a woman appeared, Brian suddenly took her hand and said, "Everyone, my wife has arrived," drawing attention. The unexpected introduction caused a stir on site, but a twist was soon revealed.
The woman was Brian's "Pyeongtaek friend" and the mother of YouTuber Choi Oheum. The pollack hangover soup restaurant was also a regular place personally recommended by the mother.
Brian recalled their first meeting. He laughed, "After working out I was washing my car when someone called out, 'Mr. Brian.' I thought they were a neighborhood resident. Only the next day did I learn she was my younger brother's mother." He added that their relationship continued naturally afterward.
The video's subtitle added the phrase "Brian who even befriends his friend's mom," which elicited laughter.
