BTS's full-group comeback concert will be broadcast live worldwide on Netflix.
On the 3rd, Netflix and HYBE said they will exclusively livestream BTS comeback live: ARIRANG on Netflix at 8 p.m. on March 21.
The BTS performance, set to take place at Gwanghwamun Square, one of the spaces symbolizing Seoul, was arranged to coincide with the release of the much-anticipated new record "ARIRANG (Arirang)." Netflix and HYBE also decided to collaborate for BTS's historic comeback stage. In this concert, all members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook—will present the new album's comeback stage for the first time. The concert will be livestreamed via Netflix to viewers in more than 190 countries around the world.
BTS's fifth full-length album "ARIRANG" contains a deep reflection on the group's starting point and identity. After the album's release, BTS plans to embark on a large-scale world tour, BTS WORLD TOUR "ARIRANG" (2026-2027), consisting of 82 shows across 34 regions covering Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.
The Netflix feature documentary about the making of the "ARIRANG" album, BTS: The Return, will also be released on March 27. Directed by Bao Nguyen, who directed the Netflix documentaries Stringer: The Long Tail of Photojournalism and The Greatest Night in Pop History, and produced by This Machine, the company behind Martha and Karol G: Tomorrow Wows Beautiful, BTS: The Return will spotlight BTS's journey back with a new album after three years and nine months.
BTS: The Return will show BTS's comeback journey through an intimate lens. It documents how BTS, who built global popularity after their 2013 debut, came together in Los Angeles to make music. After a hiatus and a period of personal change, the members returned to a shared creative space, confronting questions such as "how to start again" and "how to honor the past while moving forward without being bound by it," moments that viewers can vividly witness in BTS: The Return. As countless global listeners await this era's greatest comeback, BTS: The Return, which captures the members' journey through many moments to create new music that reflects who they are now, promises to be an intimate and moving Netflix documentary that tells a story only BTS can tell.
BTS comeback live: ARIRANG, which will be broadcast live worldwide, demonstrates the expansion of Netflix's live programming. This comeback concert is Netflix's first live event transmitted from Korea to the world. BTS comeback live: ARIRANG is set to follow Netflix's solid lineup of live events, including Skyscraper Live, Star Search, Jake vs Joshua, WWE Raw, NFL Christmas gameday, Paul vs Tyson, Canelo vs Crawford and Six Kings Slam. In the future, Netflix plans to present a variety of live lineups to members, such as MLB, the FIFA Women's World Cup and The Actor Awards.
