Actor Kim Seon-ho has been caught up in allegations of tax evasion, drawing attention to the release schedule of his next project.
On the 3rd, the Disney+ original series Portraits of Delusion said regarding future scheduling, "The release timing and schedule have not been confirmed yet. We will inform you if there are any updates," expressing a cautious stance.
Portraits of Delusion is a mystery melodrama set in 1935 Gyeongseong, starring Kim Seon-ho and Suzy. It was originally announced for release in the second half of the year, but a specific programming date has not been set.
The situation is similar for other upcoming projects. According to sources, the drama In the Net was previously discussed as a TVING original drama lineup, but it was reported that the programming was called off early on and was unrelated to Kim Seon-ho's "tax evasion" matter.
The project known to be planned as a tvN drama, "May the lawmaker watch over you," was at the pre-crank-in stage, and it was understood that the official programming and release schedule had not been confirmed.
Meanwhile, Kim Seon-ho has been embroiled in tax evasion allegations after it became known that he had been receiving activity revenue through a one-person corporation established in his family's name. According to reports, Kim Seon-ho's parents were listed as inside directors of the corporation, and there were claims that funds were paid to the parents from the corporate account and then transferred back to Kim Seon-ho. It was also reported that living expenses and vehicle maintenance costs were charged to a card in the corporation's name, raising suspicions of reduced corporate tax through expense handling.
In response, agency Fantagio said, "The corporation was established for theater production and related activities, and it was not for the purpose of deliberate tax avoidance or tax evasion," adding, "It has currently suspended actual business activities and is undergoing closure procedures according to related processes."
As the controversy continues, the release dates of projects Kim Seon-ho was scheduled to appear in have also remained "undetermined," focusing attention on future scheduling.<
