Kang Daniel led and completed every stage from planning the OST for "Legend of Mega Race" to vocals, composition, sound design and the emotional arc design. As the project targets the global market, this OST is expected to convey Kang Daniel's musical appeal to audiences around the world beyond Korea.
"Legend of Mega Race (LEGEND OF MEGA RACE)" is a new work from Red Rover, a 3D animation studio that set a Hollywood box office record by ranking No. 2 with the "NUTJOB" series. Set in a futuristic city, it is a family animation that transcends time and space, combining racing, sci-fi and a coming-of-age narrative. It is scheduled to open this year in theaters worldwide, including Korea and the United States.
Kang Daniel has been working on the OST with producer BIBLEIN. The goal was not merely background music that fills scenes but to translate the film's sense of speed, the city's temperature and the characters' emotions into music. He expressed the genre thrill of racing, the perspective of racing through a city and the inner lives of the people living within it in the tracks.
The OST of "Legend of Mega Race," which Kang Daniel participated in producing and performing, is scheduled to be released with the film's theatrical opening this year, and global distribution will be handled by Global Interactive Technologies (Nasdaq: GITS). GITS holds management and exploitation rights for the master recordings, as well as worldwide distribution, usage and commercial release·promotion rights, and will conduct various promotions through the platform Faning.
