TME Group (TV CHOSUN ENM) is expanding its musical spectrum beyond trot.
As part of a digital single project, TME Group is teaming up with Apink member Jeong Eun-ji to release "Parrot" at 6 p.m. on the 3rd. It is a remake, 20 years later, of the beloved song that gained great popularity as the OST of the 2006 drama "궁".
"Parrot" is an emotional number that has been repeatedly mentioned over a long time for its lyrical melody and poignant lyrics. While continuing the mood of the original, Jeong Eun-ji breathes new life into the song in the 2026 version with her voice. The arrangement adds guitar, bass and strings.
In particular, Jeong Eun-ji's distinctive husky yet steady vocals convey the song's emotions more deeply. By layering a new atmosphere over the familiar melody, it is expected to naturally reach not only listeners who cherish the nostalgia of the original but also a new generation of audiences.
Jeong Eun-ji has recently continued a broad musical path by balancing solo activities with Apink's 15th anniversary promotions. The "Parrot" remake is also noteworthy as a work that showcases Jeong Eun-ji's vocal ability and interpretive skill.
This project also has value as a follow-up to the successful release of Jia's single, which was previously noted for top-class vocal ability. It shows TME Group's strategy to expand into various genres with high-quality vocal sound.
TME Group CEO Ahn Seok-jun said the company will not be limited to genres, based on the existing trot strengths of TV CHOSUN ENM. He said they plan to continuously expand collaborations with artists who have high-quality music and sincere vocals to steadily secure quality music IP.
