The late Catherine O'Hara was experiencing breathing difficulties just before her death.
On the 30th (local time), U.S. entertainment outlet Page Six reported that the late Catherine O'Hara experienced a sudden emergency at her Brentwood, California, home at around 5 a.m. on the 29th, and paramedics responded to the scene.
The late Catherine O'Hara was transported to a hospital in serious condition and died a few hours later. O'Hara's cause of death has not yet been released.
The deceased is survived by her husband, production designer Bo Welch, and two sons, Matthew and Luke.
A few days before the late O'Hara's shocking death, she was scheduled to begin filming season 2 of Seth Rogen's drama "The Studio," and was set to play the role of Patty Lee.
However, because of "personal matters," her shooting schedule was adjusted to focus on scenes in which the Patty Lee character did not appear. A source said, "It was not widely known that the late O'Hara was experiencing health problems or serious difficulties."
Fellow actors are mourning O'Hara's death. Macaulay Culkin, who played O'Hara's son in the film "Home Alone," said, "I wish we had spent more time together. I wanted to sit next to you," and added, "I heard you. But there is so much to say. I love you. See you later."
Also, Michael Keaton, the lead actor of the film "Beetlejuice," called her "a fictional wife, a fictional rival, and a true friend in real life," saying, "It's really heartbreaking. I will miss her so much," expressing his affection.
