Actor Lee Chung-ah was later revealed to have been in a traffic accident during a drama shoot.
On the 30th, the 'Weekend Series' channel uploaded a video titled "2n years female friend real-life Yubari talk bari."
In the video that day, the actress Lee Chung-ah, a "female friend" who has a long relationship with Yoo Yeon-seok, appeared as a guest and talked. Then Yoo Yeon-seok asked, "Do you have any interests since the new year lately?", and Lee Chung-ah confessed, "My biggest interest lately is the hip joint."
Yoo Yeon-seok asked, "For healing? Do you have a routine to protect your hip joint?", and Lee Chung-ah said, "I think I must have watched about 100 pieces of content about hip joint rehabilitation even if I haven't made any myself," and revealed, "I slightly injured my hip joint after a traffic accident," which surprised listeners.
Yoo Yeon-seok worried, "Really? Last year?", and Lee Chung-ah complained of pain, "In August last year, just when the drama was starting. I was injured and kept saying it hurts, but filming started right away so the golden time to get treatment passed, then it traveled up my back and to my neck and stuff. But there are a lot of action scenes. I wear heels. And I'm short on sleep. So of course I should have gotten better, but because it kept recurring, it was so frustrating not knowing why it hurt."
He said, "Because when I walk normally I'm fine, but it suddenly hurts when I turn, so I wondered what the hip joint must be like for me to hurt like this — and it turned out to be a really important joint. It's the largest joint in our body," he said, sharing his realization.
Yoo Yeon-seok said, "That's right. It supports the core," and Lee Chung-ah explained, "It coordinates with many places, so now I know this is tight and this is where it hurts, now I know this tightened because I ran in heels. So I just do exercises to strengthen the hip joint in daily life."
Then Yoo Yeon-seok asked, "Tell me just one. What is there?", and Lee Chung-ah said, "It's very simple. There's the bridge where you lie on your back and lift, right? That's also very good for the hip joint. The gluteal muscles support the hip joint," she said. Yoo Yeon-seok said, "Exercising around the gluteus maximus is (good)," and Lee Chung-ah said, "That's right. You're also an exercise expert, aren't you?"
Yoo Yeon-seok shyly said, "I haven't exercised in a long time," and asked, "Have you gotten a bit better?", and Lee Chung-ah said, "Now that I wear heels less, it's getting much better, and after filming ends I'm going to do nothing and rest. For about four days."
Hearing this, Yoo Yeon-seok said, "I didn't know either, but when I did Hedwig I had no choice but to run around in heels and my back kept hurting," and added, "In the past, if it hurt there was a cause. There was a noticeable cause. I did something wrong or something happened, but when I talk to people my age now, they just say they woke up and it hurt or had a stiff back. I used to talk about this with seniors. Seniors say that. While acting there's a love scene. Chung-ah suddenly goes out. Chung-ah! and then there's a 'ugh' moment," he recounted, and Lee Chung-ah said, "I totally understand," in sympathy.
Yoo Yeon-seok said, "Seniors get stiffness and pain like that," and Lee Chung-ah expressed bittersweet feelings about the passage of time: "Yesterday while filming it was really nothing. I just opened the car door and got out. But when I opened the car door and got out I went, 'Ah!' It's awkward to say I was injured and I don't even know why it hurts. But the car seat is a bit deep. You have to sit deep and then get up — that's one thing — and it's sad. It's heartbreaking."
Upon hearing this, Yoo Yeon-seok said, "I totally understand. When I can't sleep and go to schedules I sometimes sleep in the car. When I wake up to get out I go very slowly. Almost like a slowpoke," and added, "I notice it when I rush too," and Lee Chung-ah said, "There's not a single thing the older people say that's wrong. It's all true."
Meanwhile, Lee Chung-ah has confirmed her appearance in the JiniTV original drama Honour: their court and is currently in active filming. Honour: their court is a heated mystery chase about three women lawyers who confront a past that returned as a huge scandal head-on, and it will premiere as an ENA Monday-Tuesday drama at 10 p.m. on Feb. 2.
