'Dokbak Tour 4' Kim Jun-Ho drew big laughs with a 'devoted husband' move of self-censoring his wife Kim Ji-min's elementary school graduation photo.
On Jan. 31, the 35th episode of Channel S's 'Ni Don Nae San Dokbak Tour 4' (Channel S, SK Broadband co-production) featured Kim Dae-hee x Kim Jun-Ho x Jang Dong-min x You Se Yoon x Hong In-kyu setting out on a 'in-laws' house tour' that went from Kim Jun-Ho's in-laws' house in Donghae, Gangwon, to Jang Dong-min's in-laws' house in Gunsan, North Jeolla.
After enjoying Donghae's attraction 'Mureungbyeol Yucheonji' earlier, the 'Dokbakz' had dinner at the true regular restaurant of the Kim Jun-Ho–Kim Ji-min couple. They ordered two snow crabs and assorted sashimi, and said, "As expected, wild-caught is different!" as they could not stop picking at the food with their chopsticks. Then the sashimi restaurant owner said, "My daughter was a classmate of Ji-min, so she brought the elementary school graduation album because she heard (Kim Jun-Ho) was coming today." Kim Jun-Ho quickly inspected the album(?) and firmly declared, "This photo can't be aired." When the owner showed another photo, Kim Jun-Ho said, "The high school school play photo looks the same as now. Pretty~" and took a picture with his phone, showing a 'devoted husband' side. At that moment, Jang Dong-min unexpectedly asked the owner, "When you first heard Kim Jun-Ho and Kim Ji-min were getting married, how did people in the neighborhood react?" The owner replied, "Honestly, not well. Everyone said they didn't like it, that Ji-min was wasting herself. But when Ji-min brought Jun-Ho to see him in person, we were surprised because he was handsome and tall. Now it's very good!" and gave a thumbs-up. Then Kim Jun-Ho, puzzled, said, "Are you mocking me now? I'm not that tall…" which produced a bittersweet laugh.
After a meal worth about 400,000 won, the 'Dokbakz' played a 'stopwatch game' as a 'bet on dinner' Dokbak game. The game required a sense of rhythm, but unexpectedly, current singer You Se Yoon came in last. After cheerfully finishing the game and returning to their lodging, the 'Dokbakz' boiled the spicy fish stew they had taken from the sashimi restaurant and warmly ended the first night's stay.
The next morning, Kim Jun-Ho said, "In our Donghae, we always cure hangovers with gomchi," and suggested having gomchi soup for breakfast. At the gomchi soup restaurant recommended by Kim Jun-Ho, they fell completely for the appeal of the hakari stew with aged kimchi added—spicy yet tender in texture. After a hearty meal, the 'Dokbakz' picked the Dokbak person with a 'rock-paper-scissors game' decided by faces. In that contest, Kim Jun-Ho and Hong In-kyu played a close match to the final, and Kim Jun-Ho became the final Dokbak person.
Thanks to 'Donghae's son-in-law' Kim Jun-Ho, the 'Dokbakz' warmly finished their Donghae trip and headed next to Gunsan, North Jeolla. In the car, Kim Jun-Ho worried about Hong In-kyu, whose face was full of concern, saying, "In-kyu is still in a cold war with his sister-in-law." When asked, "Why did you fight?" Hong In-kyu confessed, "Actually, we fought because of 'Dokbak Tour.' We went to a restaurant, and a fan of 'Dokbak Tour' asked my wife why she was so bad at the 'wife text game,' which upset my wife. But I couldn't calm her down and (because of 'Dokbak Tour' filming) left the house right away. I called today but my wife didn't answer." You Se Yoon said, "We have a song called 'mother-in-law' among our UV songs; play it," and when the lyrics resonated deeply, Hong In-kyu finally broke into tears.
While they had been driving for a long time, the 'Dokbakz' stopped at a rest area and played a Dokbak game for snack money. They played 'claw machine' and other games but couldn't decide a winner, so they spun a roulette, and the result made You Se Yoon the Dokbak person. Back in the car, Jang Dong-min declared, "Tonight we'll eat at the favorite jjambbong restaurant recommended by my father-in-law." After a while they arrived at the jjambbong restaurant and each ordered according to taste: clam jjambbong, cuttlefish jjambbong, abalone jjambbong, and so on. Before the food arrived, Jang Dong-min called his father-in-law and said, "We've arrived. We'll come see you soon" to greet him. The father-in-law warmly replied, "Call when it's convenient later. I'll pick you up anytime," and even said, if the 'Dokbakz' drank, "I can do a designated driver," showing the model of 'father-in-law love.' After the call ended, the jjambbong arrived. The large bowl, like a washbasin, was topped with a generous amount of seafood, surprising everyone.
Having deliciously 'all-killed' the jjambbong, the 'Dokbakz' played a 'mussel shell stacking' game as a Dokbak game for the meal and designated driver fees. After a nail-biting contest, You Se Yoon was again chosen as the Dokbak person. Greatly pleased, Kim Dae-hee cheered, "As expected, on domestic trips You Se Yoon always ends up as the Dokbak person~."
The travelogue of the 'Dokbakz,' who will meet Jang Dong-min's father-in-law in Gunsan where Jang Dong-min's in-laws live and begin the full tour, can be seen on the 36th episode of Channel S's 'Ni Don Nae San Dokbak Tour 4' airing Feb. 7 (Sat) at 9 p.m.
