Actor Lee Chung-ah belatedly confessed that she had been in a car accident while filming a drama.
In a video titled "2n-year female friend real Yubaritoch Talk Bari" on the YouTube channel 'Weekend Yeonseokgeuk,' released on Jan. 30, Lee Chung-ah, who has a long history with Yoo Yeon-seok, appeared as a guest and shared her recent situation. During the conversation, when Yoo Yeon-seok asked about her New Year interests, Lee Chung-ah unexpectedly said, "These days my biggest interest is the hip joint," drawing attention.
Lee Chung-ah said, "I slightly injured my hip joint in a car accident," and explained, "It was exactly when I started the drama in August last year." She said, "I said I was hurt and in pain but immediately went into filming and missed the golden time for treatment," and added, "The pain spread to my back and neck, and because there was a lot of action, I wore heels while filming and lacked sleep, so recovery was slow," revealing the difficulties she faced at the time.
She added, "I was fine normally, but the pain came only when I made rotational movements, so it was frustrating," and said, "I learned then that the hip joint is the largest joint in our body and coordinates with many parts." She said she is currently focusing on rehabilitation and reported, "I searched for more than 100 hip-strengthening exercise contents. I consistently do simple exercises like bridges in daily life."
Yoo Yeon-seok added his own experience. He said, "When I did the musical 'Hedwig' I ran around in heels and my back was constantly sore," and sympathized, "These days I wake up in pain or with a stiff back even without a special reason." Lee Chung-ah also said, "There are times during filming when I get out of the car and suddenly let out an 'Ah!' sound. It's not a major injury, but there are moments when I hurt for no reason, and it makes me sad," conveying her sense of the passage of time.
Lee Chung-ah said, "These days I wear heels less, so I'm much better," and added, "After filming ends I try to do nothing and rest for a few days," expressing her determination to recover.
Meanwhile, Lee Chung-ah has confirmed her casting in the GenieTV original drama Honour: their courtroom and is currently filming. Honour: their courtroom is a hot mystery pursuit about three women lawyers who confront a past that has returned as a huge scandal head-on, and it will premiere as an ENA Monday-Tuesday drama at 10 p.m. on Feb. 2.
