Singer Lee Young Hyun proved the power of a vocal diva with delicate live performance and explosive singing.
Lee Young Hyun appeared on the KBS2 music talk show The Seasons : 10CM's Pat-Pat, which aired on the 30th. On that day, Lee Young Hyun opened the show with the 2022 release "So you," delivering deep emotion with delicate sensibility and a heartrending voice that moved listeners' hearts.
Last year, after participating in 10cm's "Dance" vocal challenge and forming a connection, Lee Young Hyun shared behind-the-scenes stories. She recalled, "I thought it was a proposal for another singer at the company, so it was surprising that it came to me. It was a combination I never imagined, so I practiced a lot thinking I had to pull it off in my own style."
This year marks the 24th year since her debut, and a fresh college-era video of Lee Young Hyun was also revealed. When a VCR from her appearance at the Gangbyeon Music Festival played, Lee Young Hyun explained how she first stepped into the music industry, saying, "I am class of 00, and I went because a senior from the class of '98 asked me to participate as a singer in a song he wrote."
She added, "At that time I majored in jazz vocal. After the Gangbyeon Music Festival, while I was on a leave of absence, the person who planned Big Mama asked me to be a guide vocalist. The song I sang then was Gummy's "If you come back." That song became my audition tape, and before I knew it, preparations for my debut were underway. Thankfully, I debuted without going through trainee days," which elicited surprise.
Having recently released the new song "If it happens easily," Lee Young Hyun introduced it, saying, "Various emotions arise before a breakup, and I tried to depict the psychological state of the thoughts that come from those emotions," and on the subsequent stage she perfectly conveyed the song with poignant breakup sentiment and a compelling voice, leaving viewers with a heavy aftertaste.
