Actor Lee Joo-been conveyed a warm, touching impression with her exceptional affection for abandoned animals and responsible attitude.
In a video released on the YouTube channel "Together Raising" on the afternoon of the 30th, Lee Joo-been was shown bringing home and temporarily caring for puppies "Oki" and "Susoo," who were rescued from a poor breeding facility. Lee Joo-been has regularly visited shelters in the past to volunteer with cleaning and senior dog care, and she said this temporary fostering also started from her desire to let abandoned animals experience a home environment outside the shelter.
In an interview, Lee Joo-been said, "Even if a shelter cares for them devotedly, there are limits to the hands-on care for each one. I wanted to let abandoned animals learn in advance how to live with people," explaining her reason for deciding to foster temporarily. She recalled how Susoo, who first came to the house, found the soft cushion unfamiliar and could not sleep deeply, and said with reddened eyes, "I hope she now thinks of this as a comfortable space and at least gets some good sleep."
Also, she added heartwarming moments by quietly fulfilling a dependable guardian role, helping Oki recover after hip surgery shortly after fostering began and staying by Susoo so she would not be anxious after being left alone.
Lee Joo-been, who said, "Because of my busy schedule, I have to be cautious about welcoming a new family member, but if I can give warmth to the children even for a month or two, I think that itself is meaningful," encouraged adopting abandoned animals, saying, "Dogs are valuable and comforting simply by existing, so please become Oki and Susoo's family."
Meanwhile, Lee Joo-been is meeting the public through the currently popular tvN Monday-Tuesday drama "Spring Fever," and even amid busy activities she has added warmth by voicing sincere support for abandoned animals.
