Actor Rhee Minjung's remarkable family background is once again drawing attention. It was reexamined in a YouTube video that she is the maternal granddaughter of the late Park Nosu, regarded as a master of Korean painting.
On the 26th, the YouTube channel 'Park Wonsook Channel' posted a video titled 'Revealing the Park Wonsook collection [short video]'.
In the video, Park Wonsook took out a painting and said, "I suddenly ended up filming here now." She then explained, "This is a painting by teacher Park Nosu. I went to his Buam-dong home and received it in person."
Painter Park was a first-generation Korean painting artist in Korea, highly regarded for an original style that added a modern sensibility to traditional ink painting. After graduating from Seoul National University's painting department, he worked as a professor and a national exhibition judge, and is also known as the first recipient of the presidential award in the oriental painting sector.
In particular, subtitles in the video mentioned that Rhee Minjung is Painter Park's maternal granddaughter, drawing attention. Reactions followed saying the two share distinct facial features and an elegant atmosphere.
Park Wonsook said, "I wanted a large, refreshing painting, but I couldn't afford it. Still, I wanted to own at least one, so I bought it," expressing affection, and she also revealed plans to produce goods from her own paintings, raising anticipation.
Earlier, Rhee Minjung also candidly said in her own content, "It is true that someone in my family won a presidential award in the arts," while adding, "We were not always a financially wealthy family."
Meanwhile, Rhee Minjung is married to actor Lee Byungheon and has one son and one daughter.
