'The Seasons : 10CM's Pat-Pat' evoked emotions and aftertastes with a top-class stage regardless of genre.
On the 30th, the KBS2 music talk show 'The Seasons : 10CM's Pat-Pat' broadcast featured Heize, i-dle, Lee Young Hyun, and Lee Han Chul presenting stages that showcased their diverse charms.
Heize opened the show with a duet with MC 10CM on 'It also rained, so' and drew attention by introducing the song as "this song is true. It's like a diary to me." Heize, who said she had been practicing personal skills at home, amused the audience with quirky charm by performing a highway drowsiness prevention song and an impression of Simon Dominic.
In particular, Heize showed enthusiasm by preparing a presentation in advance for the 'The Seasons' stage, and 10CM playfully warned, "Are you eyeing the MC spot?" In response, Heize improvised a program name, 'Heize's Hapless Coincidence,' jokingly aiming for the MC role. Heize also picked up a magic wand and reinterpreted the 'Sailor Moon' OST 'Legend of the Moonlight' in a bossa nova style, and left a deep impression by singing 'Love over hip-hop, money over love' with her own sensibility and tone.
i-dle, who returned with the new song 'Mono,' revealed special ties with 10CM. In particular, Minnie said that before debut, while living in the dorm, Soyeon's morning call had been 10CM's 'Love is at the Milky Way cafe,' and shared an episode of struggling every morning. When 10CM performed live on the spot, the members shrank their bodies and reacted playfully, drawing laughter. Soyeon said, "I chose it as my morning call because it's my favorite song," expressing her affection for the song.
i-dle's 'unnie line' Miyeon, Minnie and Soyeon performed 'Good Goodbye' in their first joint stage since debut on 'The Seasons,' and 10CM marveled, "I felt once again how unique and how strong their identities are." For the new song 'Mono,' i-dle even requested a camera be installed on the ceiling and specially revealed an outro performance with 10CM in the center. Responding warmly to 10CM's playful poses and expressions, the members reacted with "like a flower" and "the center itself," radiating warmth.
Lee Young Hyun displayed dramatic singing worthy of a 'national treasure–level diva' with the stage of 'So you are,' moving the audience to tears. Watching the performance, 10CM also caused laughter by reflecting on himself, saying, "If you want to sing well, shouldn't you go that far? I satisfied myself too quickly."
Lee Young Hyun, a former participant of the 'Riverside Song Festival,' said that at the time she aspired to "become a giant in the jazz world," but revealed an unexpected reason why she ultimately gave up jazz and debuted with Big Mama: "Scat singing is too hard. If I do it, I'd be embarrassed to the point my ears would turn red." Still showing affection for jazz, Lee Young Hyun performed 'All of Me' on the spot, demonstrating the dignity of a sweet jazz vocal. Finally, Lee Young Hyun sang the new song 'If you push it' and proved the boundless spectrum of her vocals with an appealing voice.
Lee Han Chul spread his characteristic pleasant positive energy with his signature song 'Superstar.' 10CM, who had appeared on 'Lee Han Chul's All That Music' during his rookie days, added emotion by inviting Lee Han Chul as the 13th guest of 'Indie 30th anniversary large-scale project—life music.' Lee Han Chul told 10CM, "I was happy to watch the process of you becoming a complete singer as a fan," and 10CM replied, "It is an honor to have you here." The two, who share a special bond, completed a meaningful stage by singing 'Truly the season of love' together.
Lee Han Chul recalled past times when his albums struggled commercially and said he continued his music activities based on indie spirit, saying 'If necessary, I do it alone' and 'the music continues,' touching the audience. About his signature song 'Superstar,' he revealed that the protagonist in the song was a high school baseball player at the time, and shared an anecdote about receiving a letter saying it had been "a solid supporting theme song." He added, "We meet about once a year, and at some point that friend started buying meals. Recently he held a wedding and sang a modified version of 'Superstar' as a congratulatory song," revealing the special connection that has continued to this day.
Meanwhile, 'The Seasons : 10CM's Pat-Pat' airs every Friday at 10 p.m. on KBS2.
