ENHYPEN proved the strength of its "immersive storyteller" approach and once again expanded the vampire narrative from its new release into reality.
ENHYPEN (Jeongwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-ki) met about 1,000 ENGENE (the fandom name) when they held the global screening "VAMPIRE IS COMING in SEOUL" at COEX Auditorium in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 30th.
That day ENHYPEN appeared onstage with the concept of "vampires who fled the world and briefly hid here," increasing fans' immersion. The members pointed out the symbols and interpretations contained in key scenes of the chapter videos, shared production behind-the-scenes to improve completeness, and unfolded rich stories. A congratulatory message from actor Park Jeongmin and a special video for the track "Stealer," among other surprise gifts, filled the venue with heated enthusiasm.
In particular, ENHYPEN interpreted the recent blood donation campaign that drew about 10,000 participants in Korea and Japan as an extension of the album story, showing off their witty talk. The second chapter video released before the comeback, "Big Girls Don't Cry," includes a scene of hijacking a blood donation bus; about this, the members playfully said, "As the first group of vampires to debut, we wanted to set an example," and "Instead of drinking blood, we donated so it could be put to good use for those who are ill," which had the audience in stitches.
ENHYPEN will continue the global screening "VAMPIRE IS COMING" in Hong Kong (Jan. 31) and Tokyo (Feb. 14). The members said, "We are happy to meet ENGENE again through mini album No. 7," and "We are happy to gather with ENGENE in one place to watch the videos of 'THE SIN: VANISH' and share many stories. We are preparing many things this year, so please look forward to them."
