MBC's new variety show "Manitto Club" features Lee Suji transforming into Santa for an undercover operation.
The first episode of MBC's Manitto Club (directed by Kim Tae-ho), which premieres on Feb. 1 at 6:10 p.m., showcases Jenny, Dex, Choo Sung Hoon, Ro Hong-chul and Lee Suji performing undercover missions in which they hide their identities and deliver gifts to their Manittos.
In particular, after Lee Suji confirmed that her Manitto, decided by a random live draw, was Jenny, she could not hide her passionate fandom. Lee Suji hesitated about participating in Manitto activities, saying "I can't do it. I have stage fright with stars," but soon searched Jenny's name and switched into full-on fan mode, drawing laughs.
Lee Suji attempts an undercover disguise using a helmet, sunglasses and even a white beard, but her unhidden main-character presence leads passing citizens to recognize her quickly. It is expected to provoke laughter as reactions even include "Isn't that Psy?"
Ultimately, Lee Suji transforms into Santa and embarks on a mission to deliver a gift to her favorite, Jenny. She visits Jenny's office to deliver the gift, but it is reported that a series of tough crises arise. Attention is focused on whether she can successfully carry out the undercover gift operation in the middle of the city without having her identity discovered.
Meanwhile, Ro Hong-chul also continues full-fledged undercover missions, unfolding a variety of strategies to deliver a gift to his Manitto, Lee Suji. At the same time, Choo Sung Hoon is expected to generate laughter as he encounters difficulties even in identifying his Manitto.
