It has come to light belatedly and become a topic of public interest that an apartment owned by actress Kim Tae-hee's biological older sister was seized by the National Health Insurance Service and later released.
According to reports, the National Health Insurance Service took seizure measures on the Morningville Hannam unit 1 in Oksu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul (exclusive area 208.14㎡, about 68 pyeong) owned by Kim Tae-hee's biological older sister, a person surnamed Kim, on the 29th of last month, and then lifted the seizure on the 19th of this month.
The apartment was purchased by Kim Tae-hee in 2006 for 980 million won and was gifted to her older sister, a person surnamed Kim, in 2016. The current market price is estimated to be at least 3 billion won.
Kim Tae-hee was active from 2010 for about nine years under Lua Entertainment, where her older sister, a person surnamed Kim, served as CEO. After Kim Tae-hee moved agencies, the older sister changed the company name to Lua Asset in August 2019, and it is reported that she removed entertainment management from the company's business purposes and added overseas real estate investment·development and other fields.
Regarding this seizure and release, Kim Tae-hee's side told OSEN, "Kim Tae-hee's older sister, a person surnamed Kim, currently resides in the United States," and explained, "This occurred because she was unaware of overdue health insurance premiums while intermittently entering Korea." They added, "This matter is completely unrelated to Kim Tae-hee."
Meanwhile, Kim Tae-hee married singer and actor Bi in 2017 and they have two daughters.
