Former baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun cheerfully revealed his life after retirement.
On the 31st episode of MBC entertainment Omniscient Interfering View (hereinafter "Omniscient Interfering View"), Hwang Jae-gyun, who declared his retirement, grants and shared candid updates. That day he talked about small changes he feels in his daily life after wrapping up his playing career.
Hwang Jae-gyun introduced himself with a laugh, saying, "I was a baseball player until three weeks ago, and now I am unemployed." He said that after years of pushing his body on the professional stage, he now spends free days instead of following strict training.
He said the best thing after retirement was, "When I was a player I couldn't take medicine freely even if I had a cold, and I couldn't take hangover remedies," adding, "now I can do all of that," which added to the amusement. He added that as an athlete he had experiences where even simple medicines were restricted because of doping rules.
Meanwhile, Hwang Jae-gyun was recognized for his skills during his active career and served as a representative infielder of the KBO. In 2022 he married Jiyeon, formerly of T-ara, but they divorced after two years.<
