ILLIT member Minju wrapped up about 1 year and 3 months of MC duties on KBS2 MUSIC BANK with the broadcast on the 30th.
Minju said, "It was an honor to be with great artists every week, GLLIT (Gllit, the fandom name), and the warm staff. Fridays will feel empty going forward, but as ILLIT's Minju I will work hard and show great stages," she said. She added, "I was able to learn a lot while standing in the MC seat. I am grateful to everyone who always warmly watched over and supported me despite my shortcomings, and I will long cherish the valuable times I spent on MUSIC BANK."
In October 2024 Minju became the "39th bank head (MC)" and led live broadcasts with her distinctive bright energy and steady delivery. At the same time, she hosted the solo web variety show "Minju's Pink Cabinet" on the YouTube channel KBS Kpop, spotlighting K-pop stars' offstage lives and earning praise from global fans, and she proved her abilities as a host by also serving as an MC for the year-end music special "2025 KBS Gayo Daechukje."
Meanwhile, all the other ILLIT members made surprise appearances at the MUSIC BANK site that day, joining Minju and creating a warm atmosphere. They will start their first tour, ILLIT LIVE "PRESS START" on March 14–15 over two days at Seoul Ticketlink Live Arena (formerly the handball gymnasium). The tour will run in seven domestic and international cities including Seoul, Aichi, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hyogo, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
