"Gen Z美" group KiiiKiii: Jiyu, I-sol, Sui, Ha-eum, Kiya successfully completed their comeback's first stage, firing the starting shot for full-scale activities.
KiiiKiii grants that they appeared on Mnet's 'M Countdown' (hereinafter 'MCA') broadcast on the 29th and presented the first music show stage of the mini album 2 'Delulu Pack' title track '404 (New Era)'.
In the comeback interview held before the stage, KiiiKiii heated up the mood with cheerful energy and witty answers. They increased expectations for the stage by performing a point choreography challenge with (G)I-DLE's Yuqi, and I-sol caught attention by introducing the killing part, saying she returned as the "merong" character following the "ladybug" character.
The main stage began with members enjoying the retro amusement park "KiiKi Land," and Kiya and I-sol's charming low tones caught the ear over a fast, lively beat. Energetic choreography reminiscent of voguing followed, enhanced by the members' vivid facial expressions, delivering a high level of immersion.
In particular, choreography that looked like everyone was shooting a self-camera and the "merong" point move and other KiiiKiii's unique cheerful charms permeated the stage, and the powerful, freewheeling performance maximized the song's sense of liberation and freedom, delivering pleasant energy.
'404 (New Era)' is a song built on UK house and garage sound with an addictive beat and melody, featuring the members' diverse vocals and rapping. Its distinctive lyrics reinterpret the webpage error code '404 Not Found' as "freedom that exists without coordinates," capturing the hearts of many listeners both domestically and abroad.
'404 (New Era)' peaked at No. 1 on the Melon HOT100 as of 10 a.m. today (the 30th) after its release on the 26th and landed in the TOP100, topped Korea Apple Music's songs & videos chart, and placed 'Delulu Pack' at the top of the popular albums chart. Also, as of 10 a.m. on the 29th, it ranked No. 1 on YouTube's trending music & music video, No. 2 on Bugs' real-time chart, and No. 8 on Korea Spotify, showing a strong presence across major domestic music charts. In addition, 'Delulu Pack' entered iTunes charts in a total of 22 countries and regions, and all tracks, including '404 (New Era)' and the included song 'Delulu,' appeared on top K-pop charts in many countries such as the U.S. and Japan, solidifying KiiiKiii's position in the global music market.
