JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) founder and chief creative officer (CCO: Chief Creative Officer) Park Jin-Young, and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Jung Wook, and Shin Hyun-kook, president and chief strategy officer (CSO: Chief Strategy Officer) of JYP America, were selected for the '2026 Billboard Power 100 (Billboard Power 100 2026)'.
Billboard on the 28th (local time) announced the '2026 Billboard Power 100' on its official website. Billboard each year selects and publishes individuals who exert influence on the global music industry in each sector. Park Jin-Young, JYP founder and chief creative officer; Jung Wook, CEO; and Shin Hyun-kook, president and chief strategy officer of JYP America, were ranked 12th in the multi-sector category.
Billboard first noted, "JYP achieved record revenue in the second quarter of 2025 thanks to the global popularity of K-pop." It particularly pointed to the 'largest-ever' world tour by global top artist Stray Kids, Stray Kids World Tour < dominATE > (< dominATE >), saying, "Although they saw strong results in album sales and streaming, the highlight of that quarter was Stray Kids' tour. Concert and merchandise sales revenue surged by 342% and 356%, respectively."
It continued, "Stray Kids drew about 491,000 attendees through 13 shows held in North America, generating $76.2 million in revenue, which is the highest ticket sales and revenue for a K-pop tour in North America by Billboard Boxscore standards," and highlighted that Shin Hyun-kook, who oversees JYP's U.S. operations, achieved great success through that tour.
Finally, Billboard evaluated, "The competitiveness of K-pop agencies depends on their ability to develop artists, and JYP has successfully cultivated MISAMO, ITZY, NMIXX, KickFlip and others."
Meanwhile, the 'Billboard Power 100' names leaders exerting strong influence across sectors such as labels, publishing, live, multi-sector and management. This year's list included Lucian Grainge, chairman of Universal Music Group; Monte Lipman and Avery Lipman, founders of Republic Collective; and Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation.
