'Jun Hyun-moo plan 3' Jun Hyun-moo - GwakTube - Lu Ching Lai chef once again challenge arranging the Yeosu baekban restaurant they had failed to secure two years ago.
Episode 16 of the full-fledged real street food documentary airing tonight at 9:10 p.m., 'Jun Hyun-moo plan 3' (MBN·Channel S·SK Broadband co-production), unfolds the scene where Jun Hyun-moo and GwakTube (Gwak Jun-bin), returning to Yeosu, revisit the 'baekban favorite' they had failed to book in the past.
During season 1, Jun Hyun-moo and GwakTube went to the '7,000-won baekban restaurant' recommended by a Yeosu station attendant, but found it closed and came away empty-handed. That day Jun Hyun-moo said, "Let's go back to that baekban place that became famous on social media as 'the restaurant where Jun Hyun-moo plan failed,'" and brought GwakTube and their 'eating friend' Lu Ching Lai. While they were moving, Jun Hyun-moo said, "I was shocked when I saw Chef Lu Ching Lai's schedule. How are you busier than me?" and casually requested a 'Lu Ching Lai favorite.' Lu Ching Lai said, "If you go with my wife, you even buy the sauce!" and introduced the tasty 'pollock specialty' place.
Immediately, the three of them walking down the street discover that a restaurant previously visited by 'Jun Hyun-moo plan' has expanded, causing their eyes to widen. In particular, GwakTube sees a photo of himself from two years ago hung on the restaurant exterior and says, "That was when I weighed 12 kg more than now," evoking a bittersweet laugh by recalling the past. Meanwhile Jun Hyun-moo reveals a sincere feeling, saying, "I feel fulfilled when a region comes alive." But the emotion is short-lived: when the three finally arrive again in front of the '7,000-won baekban restaurant' that left them with the 'memory of an empty-handed visit,' they are once more wrapped in tension, and interest mounts over whether they'll succeed in securing it this time.
Meanwhile, the three experience a different kind of food trip at an eel and pen shell shabu-shabu favorite located under Dolsan Bridge, a Yeosu 'landmark.' Jun Hyun-moo, faced with a pojangmacha atmosphere full of couples, shrugged and said, "We only go to hip places," and after tasting raw eel bones, tempura and shabu-shabu, Lu Ching Lai praised it as "a taste you'll think about again tomorrow." But the warm mood suddenly changes in front of chive, which is said to be good for male hormones. Jun Hyun-moo and Lu Ching Lai both yield, saying "I don't need the chive," and engage in a chive battle with no winner.
