Singer Bi revealed a shocking health condition that even surprised his wife, actress Kim Tae-hee.
On the 29th, a video titled "My back... what did you say my body condition is?" was released on the YouTube channel "Season B Season."
Bi visited a rehabilitation medicine hospital complaining of back pain. Regarding his current condition, he said, "Cervical 5 and 6 have disc issues, and lumbar 5 and 6 have stenosis." Bi previously said on YouTube that he was diagnosed with hyperlipidemia, adding, "They tell me to exercise."
Following the hyperlipidemia diagnosis, Bi confessed to symptoms of disc and stenosis, saying, "People don't really know that my back is bad. What's wrong with this body that makes my back so bad?" He explained, "I had some neck pain since I was young, but the back suddenly started hurting. It didn't used to hurt this much, but both sides around the belt line kept hurting terribly."
Rehabilitation medicine specialist Lee Jong-min examined Bi's condition. He diagnosed, "The neck should normally form a C-curve, but it's straight. Even though his muscle mass is good, poor posture and such are unavoidable. As a result, cervical 5 and 6 are slightly twisted. The height is somewhat low and there are spurs, and the disc is quite ruptured and has collapsed."
Afterward, Bi underwent a detailed ultrasound examination. Specialist Lee Jong-min said, "But it was very painful, right? There's a slight inflammation in the fluid sacs on both sides and it's almost 90% disc-related pain. Because of that, tightening around the muscles or a little fluid in the sacs accounts for about 10%."
Regarding his back pain, Bi said, "I filmed a boxing drama and used muscles I didn't usually use a lot. I used my back too. But after that ended, my back started hurting. It seems to have been about five to six months."
Bi then received shockwave therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy and appeared much more comfortable afterward. In the hyperbaric oxygen therapy room he said, "I have a bit of claustrophobia," expressing concern, but after receiving treatment for an hour he felt refreshed.
