Singer Yeo-eun will appear as the final vocalist on the film Boy (BOY) soundtrack and release the recorded track "Heartbeat half, three heartbeats half".
Through various soundtrack activities, Yeo-eun, who has delivered emotion with expressive singing, undertook recording with a dense timbre suited to the film OST's character. To preserve the feel of the song, which begins with a bright, lively piano performance, she started with a clear, refined tone and progressed to a compelling vocal delivery, showing seasoned vocal skill.
After the introduction that conveys the feeling of love — "From the first day I saw you it was strange / my heart unnecessarily raced" — the chorus, "heartbeat half, three heartbeats half, my heart / whenever I see you I don't know what to do … I'm slowly falling for you, maybe you feel the same," reveals the pull toward a loved one.
The new song "Heartbeat half, three heartbeats half" is by composers Pilsseungbulpae, KindGrumpy, and KHo, and it emits a lively atmosphere that fits the film's theme of a single love in a harsh world where domination and violence have become everyday life.
Yeo-eun, a former member of four-member girl group Melody Day, has been releasing single tracks steadily while actively working as a solo singer and a musical actress.
OST producer Rosebud said, "As a song containing sincere feelings conveyed to a loved one, vocalist Yeo-eun's characteristically clear yet compelling timbre turned the trembling heart before a loved one into the addictive expression 'heartbeat half, three heartbeats half.'"
The film Boy soundtrack Part.5, "Heartbeat half, three heartbeats half," sung by Yeo-eun, will be released on music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 29th.
