Actor Chae Seo-an will appear in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "Perfect Crown".
"Perfect Crown" (written by Yoo Ji-won / directed by Park Jun-hwa, Bae Hee-young / planned by Kang Dae-seon / produced by MBC, Kakao Entertainment) is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy Korea and is a status-breaking romance about a chaebol who has everything but is annoyingly of commoner status and a king's son who is sad because he can have nothing, and it is considered this year's most anticipated work with the meeting of IU and Byeon Woo-seok.
Chae Seo-an plays the eldest daughter of a yangban family who served as minister of the Ministry of Justice in the drama, the role of "Han Da-young." Han Da-young has a graceful appearance and cultured demeanor and is the new sister-in-law of "Seong Hee-joo," played by IU in the drama. In particular, it draws attention as her second meeting with IU following "When Life Gives You Tangerines."
Chae Seo-an gained attention last year for playing the young "Young-ran" in the Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines," which achieved global success. She left a strong impression with the nickname "Mrs. Hakssi" by vividly portraying a character with a contrasting streak beneath a pure appearance. Unlike her previous work, which depicted the emotional changes of a character with a backstory, in "Perfect Crown" she is expected to exude a lively charm while being a yangban family's daughter.
Chae Seo-an, who debuted in the 2021 KBS2 drama "Police University," went on to expand her filmography by appearing in successive hit works such as the Netflix series "Hell," "Hierarchy," and ENA's "Pale Moon." MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "Perfect Crown" is scheduled to air in April.
