Actor Tae Hang-ho made a special appearance on tvN's "Undercover Miss Hong," leaving a strong impression.
"Undercover Miss Hong" is a retro office comedy drama set in the late 1990s about 30-year-old elite securities regulator Hong Geum-bo (Park Shin-hye) who goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm where suspicious fund flows have been detected, leading to chaotic events.
In episode 4, which aired on the 25th, Tae Hang-ho appeared as Park Gi-soo, the CEO of the investment firm "One Million Investment," which was implicated in a stock manipulation case. After the Hanmin Securities order error incident, Park Gi-soo, who had disappeared, was spotted at the airport by Hong Geum-bo, who had personally tracked him down, raising the tension in the drama.
Park Gi-soo frantically tried to flee, running through the airport to evade Hong Geum-bo who was pursuing him. He hid even in a restroom at a dead end, but eventually came face to face with Hong Geum-bo and a tense confrontation ensued. In the process, Tae Hang-ho naturally portrayed the anxiety and resignation of a person backed into a corner. After being captured, his unwilling compliance with Hong Geum-bo's words, unable to run any further, combined with Tae Hang-ho's dense acting to reveal the despicable side of the character Park Gi-soo.
Despite his brief appearance, Tae Hang-ho convincingly portrayed the character Park Gi-soo and added energy to the drama. With Park Gi-soo's appearance, the pieces of the stock manipulation case fell into place at once, giving viewers a satisfying thrill, critics said.
