Singer Rain (Jung Jihoon) complained of a cervical disc and lower back pain.
On the afternoon of the 29th, a video titled "My back… what's wrong with my body?" was released on the YouTube channel "Season B Season."
In this content, Rain said, "This is the hospital. I want to be very energetic, but my body has been a mess lately. I was introduced to a clinic for lumbar physical therapy," and mentioned his health, "The cervical discs at 5 and 6 are herniated, and the lumbar 5 and 6 have some stenosis."
Rain said, "People don't know that my back is bad. What is it about this body that makes the back so bad?" and explained why he visited the hospital: "I've had some neck pain since I was young, but the back pain came on suddenly. It didn't used to hurt like this, but the areas on both sides of the belt line kept hurting so badly it made me cry. So I thought I should try various treatments, and I came."
Rehabilitation medicine specialist Lee Jongmin diagnosed Rain's condition and explained, "The neck should normally form a C-curve, but it's straight already. The reason is that, although he has good muscle mass, bad posture and similar things are inevitable. Because of that, the cervical 5 and 6 are slightly twisted. So the 5 and 6 are a bit lower in height and have spurs, and the discs have herniated so much that they have collapsed."
He also diagnosed, "On the lumbar MRI the fluid appears white. When you take an MRI, the gel looks white because it has sufficient fluid. But now the fifth and the first sacral vertebra look dark. Judging by the color change and degree of degeneration, the parts they are pressing on may have remaining inflammation, which can be very painful or uncomfortable."
Following the specialist's opinion, Rain underwent various treatments. While receiving treatment he sometimes showed pain, but he soon returned looking much more comfortable.
