Jisung's meticulous operation to purge great evil goes into full swing.
In episode 9 of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama The Judge Returns, airing on the 30th (planned by Namgung Seong-woo and Chang Jae-hoon, written by Kim Kwang-min, directed by Lee Jae-jin and Park Mi-yeon), Lee Han-young (played by Jisung) mounts an all-out effort to expose the ugly face of the power elite.
In the previous broadcast, Lee Han-young reached out to Park Cheol-woo (played by Hwang Hee) and Kim Jin-a (played by Won Jin-a) to become his allies. They were skeptical of Han-young's behavior that seemed to know the identity of the great evil, but ultimately helped him and played a part in bringing down Ministry of Justice nominee Woo Gyo-hoon (played by Junjin). As a result, Lee Han-young broke down the barrier set up by Kang Shin-jin (played by Park Hee-soon) and became his man.
As Lee Han-young becomes an 'insider' of the great evil and gradually penetrates the heart of power, a still released on the 29th (today) captures Han-young's secret moves targeting the great evil.
For some reason, Lee Han-young appears wearing a mask, arousing curiosity. The intense gaze visible above the mask hints at the grand scale of the plan he has conceived and ramps up the drama's immersion to the maximum. It becomes intriguing why Han-young must undertake a secret operation to the extent of hiding his face.
Meanwhile, Lee Han-young is once again put to the test by Kang Shin-jin. Shin-jin's gaze, sharply observing every single action, delivers an overwhelming sense of intimidation on its own. A suffocating development is foreshadowed as to what new obstacle has arisen for Han-young's quest to achieve justice.
Despite intense tactical maneuvering, Lee Han-young's strategic play does not stop. Han-young deploys prosecutor Park Cheol-woo, who has built trust by jointly resolving the Kim Sang-jin case and the Nam-myeon-gu sinkhole case, to a golf course as part of a new operation, overcoming situations where he cannot lead personally. Expectations rise over how this kind of team play will shake up the board going forward.
