Kwak Dong- yeon expressed his passion for "Bogum Magical".
On the 29th, an online press conference was held for the tvN entertainment program "Bogum Magical." The event was attended by PD Son Su-jeong, Park Bo Gum, Lee Sang Yi, and Kwak Dong- yeon.
"Bogum Magical" is a program that follows Park Bo Gum, who holds a professional hairdresser national certificate, his close friend Lee Sang Yi, and Kwak Dong- yeon as they run a special barbershop in a remote rural village that grooms both hair and the heart.
Park Bo Gum will be in charge of hair, Lee Sang Yi will handle customer service, and Kwak Dong- yeon will serve as the cook. In particular, the three participated for about a year in preparing "Bogum Magical," including selecting the program's starting location and taking part in remodeling and interior design, which has raised expectations.
On the day, Kwak Dong- yeon said, "I was in charge of the meals, snacks and refreshments for the three," and added, "I was staying abroad for other work and joined the project as soon as I returned to Korea. But I heard the two of them were already preparing for the certificate. I was really taken aback. So I decided to make up for it physically among my brothers and did my best. I would appreciate it if you could check the result on the broadcast," generating anticipation.
He continued, "When you think of a hair salon, wasn't there a culture where the owner also distributed snacks? So we wanted to do it warmly too, and there was a menu that got a good response. I worked hard preparing fish-shaped pastry. I took lessons from a famous fish-shaped pastry shop owner and practiced a lot at home. The response seemed as enthusiastic as I felt, so I was proud," drawing attention.
Park Bo Gum also added, "When the elders were evaluating the taste, they said, 'It's far more satisfying than what you get elsewhere.' I helped beside them, and spreading the batter for the fish-shaped pastry inside the machine wasn't easy. They calculated things like temperature and thickness, and they really enjoyed it."
Kwak Dong- yeon also emphasized, "I never thought I would have to prepare every meal regularly for such a long time; it's not easy. I came to respect all the housewives in the world. After you clean up for a moment, you have to make dinner again. I really came to respect the housewives who take care of their family meals at home. My gratitude grew."
