Actor Jung So-min arrives on Netflix's "Dealer."
On the 28th, her agency HIN Entertainment said Jung So-min will appear in Netflix's new series "Dealer."
"Dealer" is a crime drama about casino dealer Jung Geon-hwa who awakens a hidden ability and jumps into a dangerous gambling scene to make up the wedding money she lost to a scam. It is the first series directed by Choi Young-hwan, who built genre-defining visuals as a cinematographer on numerous works including the film Tazza and The Thieves, and Hwang Dong-hyuk, director of the global Netflix sensation Squid Game Season, participated in planning and production.
Jung So-min plays ace casino dealer Jung Geon-hwa. She is an ace dealer who skillfully handles casino customers, but her marriage plans were derailed after being scammed in her new home purchase. Based on her trusted acting skills and outstanding ability to inhabit characters, Jung So-min is expected to become Jung Geon-hwa herself and drive the story tension as the center of the drama.
Previously, she showed lovable realistic acting in earlier works Would You Marry Me? and Love Next Door, displayed sly and comic charm in the film 30 Days, and gave a multifaceted performance that seemed to cross multiple personalities in Hwanhon, demonstrating a wide range across genres and roles. Also, because she has shown the ability to create perfect chemistry with any co-star and has long been regarded as a chemistry master, the various relationships surrounding Geon-hwa amid the tense development are another special point of interest.
As she has created one defining role after another with ever-deepening acting depth and her own color through each work, expectations are rising for another distinctive transformation from Jung So-min and her own take on "Dealer."
