Comedian couple number 23 Ha Jun-soo·An Ga-yeon received the blessing of a new life. After postponing their wedding for three years amid allegations of infidelity and other issues, the two who finally tied the knot are preparing to become father and mother as An Ga-yeon has become pregnant with a daughter just one year later.
Ha Jun-soo and An Ga-yeon announced their relationship and marriage on the web variety show "Turkeys on the Block," released in 2021. In that video, Ha Jun-soo and An Ga-yeon kissed despite being in the middle of filming, and said they had already held a formal meeting between their families and that their wedding would not be long.
But the situation rapidly changed after a former partner, a person surnamed A, who claimed Ha Jun-soo had an affair, made disclosures. The person surnamed A claimed, "From Dec. 12, 2010, I dated, lived with, and even promised to marry comedian H for eight years. Even before we broke up, he was having an affair with writer A, who became more famous for webtoons than comedy," adding, "I was crushed and ignored by the two people and we broke up, and since then I have been taking antidepressants for three years. I never received a proper apology from those two people, and there is CCTV footage showing the two of them coming on a motorcycle to our house during the daytime when I was at work and going up to our house, yet they deceived me, saying it was my fault that they had an affair and never offered a proper apology."
In response, Ha Jun-soo said, "I will not deny the entire set of the writer's claims. I acknowledge that there were things that could have hurt the writer," and "But if there is one crucial point that must be made clear, the claim that no apology was received is absolutely not true. After the incident on Nov. 7, 2018, I repeatedly expressed remorse and offered apologies to the writer. I also want to clarify that out of a sense of moral responsibility, I had officially broken up with An Ga-yeon by mutual agreement."
The person surnamed A continued with further revelations, but the Ha Jun-soo–An Ga-yeon couple remained silent, and were ultimately removed from broadcasts including "Comedy Big League." After that they disappeared from broadcasts, and in December last year Ha Jun-soo sued about 100 internet users on charges of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation) and insulting others. It was reported that complaints were filed through his legal representative against those who posted malicious comments about him.
Amid the controversy, Ha Jun-soo and An Ga-yeon postponed the wedding originally scheduled for 2022 and quietly held a wedding ceremony on Oct. 12 last year. Through their marriage, the two were listed as comedian couple number 23, known for couples with no divorces.
After their marriage, the two were also blessed with a new life. According to OSEN reporting, An Ga-yeon is currently pregnant and is expected to give birth in July. The fetus has been confirmed to be a daughter. Ha Jun-soo told OSEN this was "a blessing and we are thankful."
After debuting in 2014 on tvN "Comedy Big League," Ha Jun-soo earned the nickname "Hakaso" for his outstanding caricature skills on shows including MBC "Hangout With Yoo" in 2021. An Ga-yeon debuted in 2013 through tvN "Comedy Big League" and was active in segments such as "Park Hyukgeose," "School legend," "Ode to My Father 7080," "Absurd comedy," "My mother," "Aida," "Panty house," "Odongnamu Enter," "Super car couple in Joseon," and "Devilish meddling viewpoint." Recently she worked as a writer for Coupang Play "SNL Korea."
