Actor Hong Jong Hyun revealed his experience of being a victim of a used-goods transaction scam.
On the 27th, the YouTube channel 'Cho Hyun-a's ordinary Thursday night' released content titled 'I thought he was a handsome bowling club senior, but he was a gag character and I, a novice YouTuber, laughed and collapsed.'
In the content, Cho Hyun-a faced off in a bowling match with Hong Jong Hyun. After greeting Cho Hyun-a, Hong Jong Hyun received an urgent message and took a phone call. He said, "Internet installation guy. The man from nowhere for tiles. He said the balcony tiles need work," spilling TMI and drawing laughs.
Cho Hyun-a asked, "In situations like this are you the type who bargains well? Do you get refunds easily? You look like someone who can't get a refund."
Hong Jong Hyun said, "Yes, I get refunds easily," and added, "There was even a time like that. I bought something on Joonggonara. I transferred the money and the person gave me a business card. Something felt off. So I very cleverly looked up that address on road view. Pretty meticulous, right?" as he mentioned an episode where he almost fell victim to a scam, drawing attention.
He continued, "I looked it up and it turned out the address was just an alley with nothing there. So I had been scammed," describing the situation at the time.
He said he texted the person. 'I'm really good at this kind of thing. Don't come to the police later and beg for forgiveness. I won't contact you again,' and about five minutes later the person sent, 'I'm sorry,' and returned the money, revealing how he got his money back. Cho Hyun-a was also surprised by Hong Jong Hyun's vivid episode.
Hong Jong Hyun laughed and added, "You already spilled all my secrets."
