The death of Mo Su-jin, the vocalist of the two-member band Acoustic Collabo, was reported belatedly, shocking many.
According to the agency Panic Button, Mo Su-jin died on the 25th. She was 27 years old. Panic Button officially announced Mo Su-jin's death on the 27th, saying, "We inform you of the position regarding the passing of Mo Su-jin, who was active as the vocalist of Acoustic Collabo."
Panic Button said, "We are sorry to deliver such a sad and heartbreaking piece of news. Acoustic Collabo vocalist Mo Su-jin left us on the 25th. The bereaved family is plunged into deep sorrow by the sudden tragedy."
They added, "In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, we will not disclose detailed information including the cause of death of the deceased, so we ask for your understanding. We also politely ask that you refrain from spreading unfounded speculation or rumors."
The funeral proceedings for the late Mo Su-jin will be held privately with only family, relatives and acquaintances attending, according to the bereaved family's wishes. Panic Button asked, "We hope everyone will quietly mourn so that the deceased's final journey is peaceful. We respectfully ask you to pray for the deceased's soul."
The funeral service was held this morning (the 28th) at 10:30 a.m. at Eden Memorial Park in Namyangju.
News of the late Mo Su-jin's death emerged belatedly, shocking the music industry and fans. Twenty-seven, still so young, many fans feel the sudden loss even more sadly and are expressing their condolences.
The late Mo Su-jin was born in 1999 and began preparing to be a singer as an idol trainee. She began activities as the vocalist of Acoustic Collabo with Kim Seung-jae in 2019. Mo Su-jin became famous for being selected as Acoustic Collabo's vocalist after posting a cover video on social media of D.A.'s song and the OST for "Discovery of Romance," "Strangely, With You."
Acoustic Collabo experienced disputes with their former agency in 2022 over unfair treatment and accounting issues, and they won the case last year. They then signed an exclusive contract with the new agency Panic Button and resumed activities.
Mo Su-jin performed solo activities and OSTs under the name Cloudy, and she released a solo track titled "Your Universe" in June last year.
