Actor Bae Jong-ok will appear in "Lady Dua."
The Netflix series "Lady Dua," scheduled to be released on Feb. 13, tells the story of a woman, Sara Kim (Shin Haesun), who wanted to become a luxury brand even if it was fake, and a man, Mu-kyung (Lee Jun-hyuk), who pursues her desires.
In the drama, Bae Jong-ok plays Choi Chae-woo, the chairwoman who runs Samwol Department Store. Choi Chae-woo is an absolute power who controls the business world, and behind her composed smile she conceals sharper and cooler judgment than anyone. Choi Chae-woo, who does not trust people easily, judges all human relationships as "transaction" and does not hesitate to make any choice to protect her position as the head of the department store, that is, the chair of a conglomerate.
Bae Jong-ok has established herself as an actor audiences trust by delivering deeply felt emotional performances across drama, film and theater. Regardless of genre, she has served as the irreplaceable core of each work with her acting, and through "Lady Dua" she is expected to complete the mystery narrative and once again display an extraordinary presence.
