ALLDAY PROJECT member Annie found herself in an awkward situation immediately after deciding to return to Columbia University in the United States. Annie had shown such enthusiasm that she was doing homework while interacting with fans on a live stream. This time she pleaded with fans, "Please do not send emails."
Annie held a live broadcast titled 'I really have to do my homework' on the fan platform on the 24th. Since she had recently shared news of her return to Columbia University for the spring semester, she was focused on her studies.
During the live broadcast, Annie pointed to the amount to be read for one class and explained, "This is nearly 30 pages to read for one class. But if you read and organize this now, it will be easier when studying for exams. I will try hard," and she added that if any fans were taking the same class later, she would show them her notes.
Throughout the live stream Annie was seriously focused on her studies. She concentrated while taking notes herself and occasionally had brief conversations with fans. Annie reached out to fans by sharing the ordinary life of a student, not life on stage.
However, she faced an awkward situation ahead of her return to school. Annie's Columbia University email ID was leaked, and fan letters kept coming nonstop.
In the end Annie explained the situation, saying, "I know my school ID is really easy to find, and if someone sets their mind to it they can find it. But if you send emails to the school email, it will make it difficult to find emails from other professors or important emails from the school."
Annie added, "They are all very kind words, but if you have something you want to say, please write it on Day Off or anywhere else and I can read it. Let's talk somewhere other than the school email."
Annie also said, "If you figured out my school email, you probably know my school schedule too. If you see me on campus and greet me, I will greet you too. But I might really be in a bad state." She also wittily added, "If you want to see me, study hard to come to Columbia University."
Annie is the maternal great-granddaughter of Lee Myung-hee, honorary chairwoman of Shinsegae Group, and the eldest daughter of Chung Yoo-kyung, chairwoman of Shinsegae. She is famous for the anecdote that her mother, who opposed her dream of becoming an idol, said she would allow it if she was accepted to an Ivy League school, and Annie worked hard and was accepted to Columbia University. Annie, who left school after debuting and promoting with ALLDAY PROJECT, plans to return this spring and finish her final semester.
