MBC Lunar New Year special three-part series 'Discovery of the dining table' will premiere at 9 p.m. on Feb. 10.
Starring Jang Geun-seok and chefs Yoon Nam-no, Fabri and David Lee, 'Discovery of the dining table' is an MBC Lunar New Year special program that sets out to find the care and wisdom hidden in our familiar dining tables. The true "K-food" discovered in everyday Korean cuisine will be reinterpreted from each chef's perspective by Korea's top chefs to present a diverse culinary world, drawing attention.
Host Jang Geun-seok transforms from the prince who conquered Asia into an MC setting out to "conquer the dining table," leading the program with his gourmet sensibility. Also expected is the performance of chef Yoon Nam-no, the "cooking eccentric" who has been the talk of the town lately when people say they "ate it." He plans to impart his own secret gourmet tips acquired through meticulous "food research," and his distinctive lively charm is expected to invigorate the "dining table."
Fabri, the "Korean cuisine ambassador," will reinterpret traditional Korean ingredients in his own way to deliver fresh delight. Also, David Lee, the "meat gangster" and a former two-star Michelin chef in New York, will showcase dishes that maximize the appeal of meat based on his special affection for and extensive knowledge of Korean cuisine, promising to tantalize viewers' taste buds every Tuesday night in February.
In addition, the production team of 'Discovery of the dining table' has announced the appearance of special guests who will add fresh fun to each episode, attracting attention. They also explain that rich stories centered on Korean food culture and unexpected perfect chemistry among the cast will be another unique viewing point.
Hosted by MC Jang Geun-seok, MBC's Lunar New Year special three-part series 'Discovery of the dining table,' showcasing the work of Korea's top chefs, will premiere at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10; part two will air at 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, the Lunar New Year; and part three will air at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
