Singer and actress Nam Gyu-ri faced an unexpected situation while attempting to travel alone.
On the 25th, a video titled Nam Gyu-ri travel vlog Ep.31 Nam Gyu-ri's clumsy Hong Kong trip, traveling alone isn't easy was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Nam Gyu-ri's Citrus Stare."
In the video, Nam Gyu-ri set out to travel alone to meet a close friend participating in a Hong Kong marathon.
Nam Gyu-ri said, "This is my first time going abroad alone," and added, "I've never had to board an international flight and go through procedures by myself. One of my New Year's resolutions for 2026 was to be courageous. I'll be brave and grow more. I'm going to try flying alone and start from now."
Soon she arrived in Hong Kong. Nam Gyu-ri said, "I was a little afraid to go abroad alone because of taking trains," but added, "It's so funny. That I came to Hong Kong by myself," expressing both wonder and pride.
Just when the trip seemed to be going smoothly, she encountered an unexpected situation: problems replacing a memory card for filming and boarding a taxi that did not accept card payments.
In particular, Nam Gyu-ri could not hide her embarrassment in the taxi, asking, "I didn't get currency exchanged; can I do a bank transfer?" Fortunately, after contacting her Hong Kong manager, she was able to resolve the situation.
Back at the hotel, she said, "I was so overwhelmed. I think I need to reflect today," and lamented, "I realized I really can't do anything by myself. Except for work. I haven't tried much. What have I been doing with my life?"
Afterward, Nam Gyu-ri met a surprise travel mate: actress Lee Seyoung. The two enjoyed local food, then boarded a double-decker bus to take in the night view and spent a leisurely time together.
