Singer Park Gun once again personally addressed divorce rumors with his wife, broadcaster Han Young, and various fake news.
On the 25th, Park Gun posted on his personal SNS saying "dining out with my wife" and shared a recent update. He said, "These days many people worry for no reason and absurd stories are circulating, but we are just doing well as we always have." He added, "Even in busy daily life, I'm truly grateful for the time to eat together, laugh and leave a photo," sharing the couple's daily life.
He also said, "I appreciate the concern," and "we're having another ordinary, healthy day," and posted a photo of dining out with his wife, dismissing the divorce rumors.
Park Gun and Han Young, now in their fourth year of marriage, have recently been embroiled in reports of discord and living apart. In particular, controversy grew after it became known that Park Gun was living in a tent in Goesan, North Chungcheong. Regarding this, Park Gun explained on the Jan. 18 broadcast of My Little Old Boy that "I am currently doing frequent local shoots as a reporter for 6 O'Clock Hometown, so I briefly stay there to reduce the burden of traveling between Seoul and the provinces."
He said, "The idea that I disappeared is a complete misunderstanding," and complained, "When I go out to film reports it often takes two days, and I sometimes have to give up event schedules. I only said I wanted to do more programs that visit elders, but it was reported as if I had given everything up."
He also addressed the other controversy over reports of a "lack of physical affection." Park Gun explained, "Han Young visited hospitals for almost two years because of the baby's issues and was physically and mentally exhausted," adding, "She was so sensitive that she would wake up if I merely thrashed in my sleep. That story was exaggerated into an article saying 'there is no physical affection.'" He continued, "These days when I come home I sometimes hug her first," describing their current relationship.
In a phone call with Han Young that was aired at the end of My Little Old Boy, the two denied the discord rumors. Han Young said she didn't even know fake news was circulating and drew a line, saying, "We really have no problems." She added, "As a married couple we can bicker as we adjust to each other, but there is nothing wrong with our relationship," and said, "Park Gun is just having many worries lately about work and the future."
Despite repeated explanations, amid continuing rumors, Park Gun and Han Young emphasized the ordinary life of a married couple and flatly denied the divorce rumors and fake news.
