Broadcaster Kim Gu Ra said his daughter is attending an English kindergarten.
On the 24th, a video titled 'A father who wouldn't let his child buy a house because she's unmarried, forgiveness vs. cutting ties' was posted on the YouTube channel GREE.
During the conversation, Kim Gu Ra opened up, saying, "My mother was born in '39, and my youngest daughter is now attending an English kindergarten. The English kindergarten tuition is about 1,800,000 won a month."
He continued, "Still, I'm Kim Gu Ra, and my mother said that to me. She said, 'Just send her to a regular kindergarten. Why send her to an expensive English kindergarten?' So I really told my mother off," adding, "Mom, normally you'd say, 'The youngest is so cute, if you're short I would even lend you some,' but instead you ask if I have no money?" he snapped.
He added angrily, "I told her, 'Mom, I know you're worried about me, but if you're going to say that, don't say it,' and my mother said, 'Oh, I'm sorry,' and hung up."
Kim Gu Ra showed a cool-headed side, saying, "What money could a mother born in '39 possibly have? But I understand the heart of parents who say such things. A parent's love for a child is great. There is love that lacks objectivity, but the feeling of love itself is the same. However, that judgment is not always realistic."
