Global K-pop performance channel Studio Choom (STUDIO CHOOM) won in the dance impact institutional sector at the 2025 Choreography Awards.
Studio Choom was selected as the winner in the dance impact institutional sector at the 2025 Choreography Awards held on the 24th at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, achieving a meaningful result in the K-pop performance content field.
Mnet digital studio M2's Studio Choom is a K-pop performance channel specializing in dance that features artists and dance crews performing together. In January of this year it surpassed 5.98 million subscribers and 4.5 billion cumulative views, establishing itself as a K-pop performance mega hub that global fandoms are watching.
Studio Choom has implemented 4K 60-frame high-definition video, advanced lighting direction and screen composition, and continuously developed its content production methods. In addition, through Studio Choom's signature content such as "Artist Of The Month" and "MIX & MAX," it has consistently presented performances that highlight the individuality of artists, choreographers and dancers, receiving strong responses from global fans.
This award was given in recognition of Studio Choom's notable contribution to raising awareness of and protecting choreography copyrights by being the first digital channel to label choreographers as copyright holders in K-pop performance videos. Following producer Choi Jeong-nam, who directed "Stage Fighter," this time producer Kim Eun-ji, who directed Studio Choom, was named as the award recipient, proving the content competitiveness of CJ ENM's music channel Mnet.
Producer Kim Eun-ji, who directed Studio Choom, said, "Performance is the result of the accumulated concerns and efforts of all artists, including choreographers," and added, "Studio Choom has focused on capturing the value of that process, and I am pleased that this award appears to recognize those efforts meaningfully."
Lee Han-hyung, who oversees Mnet digital content, said, "We are deeply grateful that Studio Choom's efforts were evaluated meaningfully," adding, "We will take responsibility in production so that K-pop performance content can grow in a healthier direction as a result of this award."
Meanwhile, this award was given at the 2025 Choreography Awards, and the dance impact institutional sector recognizes the individual (or team) that has had the most positive influence on the development and ecosystem expansion of the dance industry.
